Black Forest cake

Black Forest cake


  • 7 eggs
  • 250 g of sugar
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 100 g of plain flour
  • 3 tablespoons of oil
  • 60 g of Kandit Dessert Chef powder cocoa
  • pinch of baking powder

Cream 1:

  • 250 ml of whipped cream
  • 200 g of Kandit Dessert Chef cooking chocolate
  • 1 jar of sour cherries

Cream 2:

  • 250 ml of whipped cream
  • 1 whipped cream fix
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of kirsch
  • 2 - 3 teaspoons of caster sugar


  • 500 ml of whipped cream
  • sour cherries

Beat egg whites and sugar into firm peaks.  Beat egg yolks with sugar, vanilla sugar and gradually add spoon by spoon of oil. Mix flour, cocoa and baking powder and add it to the egg yolks mixture, stir it well and gradually add previously beaten egg whites and mix it gently. Pour it into the cake mould and bake at 180°C around 40 min.  Once baked leave it to cool down, when cooled slice it into 3 equal pieces.

Cream1 - Warm whipped cream on steam and add chocolate in it to melt and mix together. Once melted and combined leave it to cool down.

Cream 2 – Beat whipped cream with a whipped cream fix, add Kirsch, vanilla sugar and caster sugar, stir it gently.

Lay down the first biscuit layer, sprinkle it with cherry juice and put cherries on it, then pour cream 1, spread it evenly, and on top the second layer of biscuit, sprinkle it with cherry juice, spread evenly cream 2 om top of it and at the end the third layer of biscuit. Let it cool down, once cooled decorate by a wish.
